Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. or shortly known as Boskalis is a leading maritime service provider specializing in dredging and offshore contracts. Their roots lie back in the Netherlands, but their horizons have expanded considerably and are now a global presence in the dredging and maritime market. Boskalis has a versatile fleet of around 700 vessels and is equipped with the best of technology available. Always ready to be deployed in optimal configuration, Boskalis ensures maintenance of their old vessels along with the construction of new ones. Certified under the International Safety Management (ISM), the company’s culture of safety-focused on their “No Injuries No Accidents” (NINA) safety program, is aimed at ensuring that every employee returns home safe after every assignment. In 2019, the International Association of Dredging Companies awarded Boskalis for their efforts to improve safety in dredging activities for their Floating Line Connecting System (FLCS).

Operating in six continents Boskalis is the owner of one of the world’s largest dredging fleets.

Founded in 1910, Boskalis was taken over by new leaders in the 1930s and in 1970 they became a public company. In 1978 the company was awarded the title “Royal”. Boskalis made major contributions to the Dutch Delta Works and their contribution in international projects like the Øresund tunnel and construction of Hong Kong international airport have created benchmarks for other infrastructure players. With the acquisition of Dockwise and Fairmount Marine, Boskalis has expanded its offshore activities as well.

Providing innovative, sustainable solutions to their clients, Boskalis, has over 100 years of experience in maritime engineering, land reclamation and offshore energy management. They now offer a wide variety of maritime and energy-related solutions like the construction, transport, installation, inspection, repair & maintenance of oil extraction facilities. They also provide their service in decommissioning of oil and LNG import/export facilities. Boskalis also specializes in offshore platforms, pipelines and cables and offshore wind farms. Together with their strategic partner in harbour towage (Keppel Smit Towage in Asia) and terminal services (Smit Lamnalco), they offer towage services as well.
