The Dutch Dredging Equipment major Royal IHC delivers its first standardized dredging vessel, a TRAILING SUCTION HOPPER DREDGER branded as the EASYDREDGE®.
The EASYDREDGE® 2700 with DWT of 4140 tonnes has a hopper capacity of 2700m3 and as the Easydredge® is a standardised series of vessels, it benefits from short lead times and is a cost-effective option for customers and a quicker delivery is made possible.
The Mexican Navy national maintenance programme includes deepening rivers on the country’s east coast to prevent flooding in Tabasco. The vessel christened as BAHIA SAN CARLOS was handed over to the Mexican Navy on 16-12-2021. The Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), in coordination with the State Government is on a development spree and is currently dredging the navigation channel of the harbour of Celestún to ease the difficulties of the local fishermen moving in and out of the harbour. A deepened channel would enable smoother fishing operations. It is to be noted that there weren’t any dredging activities in the region in the past fifteen years. The arrival of BAHIA SAN CARLOS (TSHD) to the SEMAR fold will enhance the fleet of dredgers and add will be an impetus to the dredging programmes of the Mexico.
With offices in 39 locations worldwide, the Royal IHC employs 3000 plus people, and have so far delivered 2500 projects all over the world.
